Knitting has begun

I LOVE the color of my Selkirk - Plum, but I HATE the way it feels. It's scratchy and has flecks of hay or straw or something. It doesn't move smoothly on the Denise needles that I'm using either. I'd change needles, but the gauge would probably change and that wouldn't be good either. Oh well. At least I like the color.

Perhaps it will soften up with a wash?

I'd think about changing the needles - it's a long haul when you don't enjoy knitting something!
The color is pretty!

The Selkirk will get much softer when it is washed. If you can, you might want to give them a dunk in some soapy water pre-knitting to make them behave.
